There is great emphasis on the importance of reading in all classes but particularly at the junior end of the school where we endeavour to foster a love of reading. The staff organises “fun” days to encourage the love of reading. Such days include “Character Day” when pupils and staff dress up as a favourite book character. Book Week is celebrated every year and pupils are encouraged to enter local and national competitions.
